I have played guitar since 1964. Over that time I have focused on playing many types of music.
Sometime in the 1980s I found the blues.
For the most part since then, I have focused on listening to and playing the blues.
One of the characteristics of the blues is the sound of slide guitar.
Many times, I have tried to play slide guitar and I ended up with a screechy mess.
It just never sounded good.
I recently found the following books from Fundamental Changes (FundmentalChanges.com).
As far as I can tell, they are only available through Amazon in the US,
I have only been working with the books for a short while.
I finally believe that my dreams of playing true slide guitar are coming true.
I am certainly no Duane Allman or Derek Trucks.
However, my slide guitar playing is improving. It is also sounding a lot better.
Please take a look at these books. If you choose to buy any of them, I will receive a small commission. It will not increase the book’s price. These books are available as Kindle books at FundamentalChanges.com but I recommend the print editions.
